Andretta Smalls

March 30, 1969 ~ March 19, 2021 (age 51)


Andretta M. S. Hill is a native of the Burgess Community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She went home to be with The Lord on March 19, 2021, after a day of serious health decline in Charlotte, NC.

Andretta attended Socastee High School and graduated in 1987. During her time there, she assisted the varsity girls and guys’ basketball teams, sang in the Choir, and led the morning prayers prior to school starting. She continued her education at Horry Georgetown Technical College and went on to achieve her Master’s Degree in Education.


Andretta resided in North Carolina for the past four years and was currently a member of City of Refuge House of Hope Ministries in Kannapolis, N. C. under the leadership of Overseer, Candra and Pastor Allen Bethea.


Andretta’s Father, Andrew H. Smalls, brother, Harry/aka “Widget” Smalls, and grandniece, Aaliyana McCoy, all preceded her in death.


Andretta leaves the following to cherish her memory: her mother, Leola Smalls, her sister, Rose M. S. Harriett, her brothers, Andrew H. Smalls, Jr. and Derone N. Smalls, four nieces, Carla V. Harriett, Latrica D. Harriett, Shakeyma R. Harriett, Kalesha S. Harriett and one nephew, Alexander D. Smalls, all of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, thirteen (13) grand-nieces and nephews, along with countless uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends

The Viewing will be Friday March 26, 2021 2-6PM at Latimer's Funeral Home.

The Funeral will be held at Heaven's Gate Cemetery in Murrellls Inlet, SC 11Am Saturday March 27, 2021.

Please observe social distance and stay 6ft away from others that you do not live with. Please wear mask and use hand sanitizer during viewing hours and Graveside service. Please do not attend or view if you are feeling unwell, or under quarantine. No hand shaking please for safety. Mask and hand sanitizer will be provided at the viewing and Funeral Service by the funeral home. If you are attending graveside Funeral please bring lawn chair and water. The family is not receiving friends at the home due to COVID .The family appreciates your understanding during these uncertain times.
