Obituary

Anthony Thomas was born May 20, 1968 in New Haven, CT. to Mable Truman-Thomas and Johnny Lee Gore, Sr.  He entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2020.   He attended the public schools of New Haven, CT.

Anthony enjoyed coaching little league, cooking, dj'ing and spending time with his family.  He was a loving son, father, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Thomas, his grandparents: Mr. Vander and Mrs. Eva L. Gore, maternal grandparents: Andrew and Eliza Keel Thomas; three brothers also preceded him in death: Johnny Lee Gore, Jr., Johnny Bowman and Christopher Langston; one sister preceded him in death, Shannon E. McFadden.

Anthony leaves behind his loving memories,parents:  Ruby Harrison and Johnny Lee Gore, Sr., and Mr. Thurman Langston; four sons: Anthony Thomas, Jr., Tyrese Thomas, Joseph Thomas and Anthony Thomas, all of New Haven, CT.; two daughters: Cassandra and Jazmene Thomas, both of New Haven, CT.; two brothers: Melvin and Eric Harrison; Sisters, Brenda Thomas of North Carolina, Doretha Thomas of Little River, S.C., Karen "Gene" Little of Georgia, Crystal "Marquis" Gore, and Tiffany Gore of Kingstree, S.C.; two uncles: Vander (Carolyn) Gore, Jr. and Frank Gore; three aunts: Hazel Bellamy and Diantha Vereen of Phila., Pa.; Annie Gore of Little River, SC four grandchildren: Damian, Genlya, Anthony and  Zonah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  A very special friend, Elouise White, Conway, S.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 4:00 P.M.  in Latimer's Funeral Home Chapel.

Please do not attend or view if you are feeling unwell, or under quarantine. No hand shaking please for safety. Mask and hand sanitizer will be provided at the viewing and Funeral Service by the funeral home. Due to extreme heat , if you are attending graveside Funeral please bring lawn chair and water. The family is not receiving friends at the home due to COVID .The family appreciates your understanding during these uncertain times.
