Carol Rogers

The family is receiving friends at the home.  

Mrs. Carol Childs Rogers, daughter of the late John Childs and Claudia Hall, was born July 30, 1957 in Hartford, Connecticut.  On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Carol passed away peacefully at home after fighting a battle with cancer.  

She attended Farmington High School and Tunxis Community College in Farmington, CT.  She worked in Health Insurance and as a Massage Therapist into retirement.   

She was a member of St. Johns Church in Hartford, CT for 12 years and a member of Victory Christian Center in Charlotte, NC for 28 years.  Upon relocating to Conway, SC in 2018, she joined the Refuge Church family, where she served faithfully until her passing.  

As a devoted wife and loving mother she is survived by her husband James Reginald Rogers of Conway, SC; four sons and one daughter: Jason John (Tedjra) Rogers of Waldorf, MD, Jonathan Troy (Lori) Rogers of Bradenton, FL, Danielle Nicole Rogers, Michael James Vicario-Rogers and David Jerome Rogers of Charlotte, NC;  spiritual mother Anne Rouse of Bloomfield, CT; two brothers, Rodney Childs and Edward Nichols;  two sisters-in laws Jean Bentley and Vira Riley, three grandchildren Rayven Rogers, Jason and Jasmine  Green.  A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

The viewing will be held Saturday, Oct. 21,2023 at Latimer's Funeral Home 2-6PM.

The Funeral will be held Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at The Refuge  290 Dun Short Cut Rd. Conway, Sc 29527 3PM.
