Mr. Collins McKinnon Livingston was born on February 4, 1947 to the late Pearly and Rebecca Willard Livingston in the Popular Community of Longs, SC. He departed his earthly life on August 7, 2023 at his home with his wife beside his bed.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Chesterfield MB Church. He is a 1968 graduate of Chestnut Consolidated High School. After graduating from high school, he married the love of his life, Glendor Livingston. Together they were blessed with fifty-four years of marriage and three children. He was employed with Wolverine Brass for 28 years. He began his barbering career after attending and graduating from barber school in 1984.
McKinnon was a person who loved working with his hands. He loved yard work, barbering, and the upkeep of his home. He loved to talk and would often visit the sick. If they needed their hair cut, he did it. He was a great listener.
McKinnon was preceded to the grave by his parents, one son Karriem Jarod Livingston, and three brothers: George Gilbert, Alston, and Pearly Jr.
He leaves to cherish sweet memories to his wife, Glendor Livingston; a daughter, Adrienne Livingston of Snellville, Ga; one son, Dr. Tawian (Quincy) Livingston of Atlanta, Ga; four grandchildren, Atiya Vereen, Esq, Roemello Vereen, Priscilla Livingston, and Princeton Livingston; siblings, Marie Dewitt, Frances Bell, Maxzine Livingston, Velma (Heyward) Williams, Corlis (Greg) Childs, Jimmy Livingston, and Thenaise Livingston; two aunts, Ina Mae Livingston and Armenia Buck; three sisters-in-law, Helen Frinks, Carolyn Lane, and Yvonne Vereen; a host of nieces, nephews, other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The Public Viewing will be held Thursday 8/10/2023 at Latimer's Funeral Home 2-6PM.
The Funeral will be held Friday 8/11/2023 at Chesterfield MBC 12PM NOON.
Bural will follow at Chesterfield MBC Cemetery. Committal will be held at Cemetery.
