Crystal Williams

Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be fearful; Believe in God.  John 14:1, 27.  Minister Crystal Doll Williams (Chris) daughter of the late Vance R. and Temaree Vereen was born Dec 12, 1943 in Fair Bluff, NC.  She departed this earthly life on July 7, 2022 at Loris Rehab Center in Loris, SC.

Crystal graduated from Chesnutt High School. She accepted Christ upon moving to Trenton, NJ in 1967 she joined Trenton Deliverance and was a member for 32 years.  While she faithfully worked on the Usher Board, Pastors’ Aide Committee, Choir member, a Devotional leader and Prayer Warrior.

Crystal retired from Saint Francis Medical Center after 25 years as a Nurse’s Aide and Service Associate in Trenton, NJ.  After retirement, Crystal returned back home to Little River, SC to raise her two grandsons.

She was married to the late Jessie L. Williams for 44 years; before his passing.  She is preceded in death by her only child Wilma “Jenell” Vereen; one grandson “Lamor Phillip Vereen; nine siblings Louise(Ray) Garrison; Louis D (Maggie) Vereen; Carrie A (LJ) Montgomery; Vance Henry (Mary) Vereen; Dorothy (Willie James) Lewis; Hattie (James Dell) Goff; Nellie(James) Wilkerson; Sylvia (Jack) Jackson; Curvey (Jenny) Vereen.

To cherish Crystal’s memory Christopher L. Vereen (grandson) of the home; Clara R (Paul) Wilson (sister); Dolly (Micey) Gore (sister); a very special niece Yvonne (Kelvin); Opal (Bai) (goddaughter); her lifelong friend, sister in Christ, and Christopher’s Godmother Betty Bellamy.  Her foster family siblings Charlotte Grissett (Sister), Vanessa Vereen (Sister); Lillie Gore (sister), Jack Cox (Brother) and Kenneth Cox (brother) and over 100 nieces and nephews.

The Viewing will be held at Latime's Funeral Home Tuesday July 12,2022 2PM to 6PM

The Funeral will be held at Chesterfield MBC Wed., July 13,2022 11AM.
