Deacon Otis Spivey

Deacon Otis L Spivey Sr the son of Mr. Ralph Spivey Sr and the late Bessie Spivey was born on April 4th 1951. He is also preceded in death by one great-great niece, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. He was born and raised in the Racepath Community of Myrtle Beach South Carolina. He was educated through the Horry County School Systems. Deacon Spivey accepted Christ into his life in 1995 and he was a member of Miracle Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. He remained a very loyal member with his wife until God called him into eternal rest. He was a man of many talents! He played the Guitar, tickled the ivories on the keyboard and sung a little tune here and there. He is best known for his BRIGHT SMILE WITH A FOLLOW UP OF JOKES! 
He was a family man and a lover of his dogs. He was always in his shed or in the yard raking or cutting something. He was always busy. He was employed with Bay Tree Golf until it closed. He was employed with the North Strand Senior Center until he passed.
He leaves cherished memories with his wife of 42 years Evangelist Sandra Spivey and his five children Renee Jones(Aaron), Otis Jr, Marie Ishmael(William), David and Jason.
His father Ralph Sr. and precious memories and laughs with his 7 brothers, Ralph Spivey Jr.(Ruth), Isaiah Spivey(Sunny), Charles Spivey(Berlene-deceased), Joseph Spivey(Brenda), Eugene Spivey(Pat), Warren Spivey(Kimberly), Sylvester Spivey(Frenchie). 8 sisters, Linda Campbell(James-deceased), Olene Rush(Alton Rush), Diane Hill(Terry), Jeanette Taylor(James), Patty Edwards(Gary), Judy Wheeler (Wendell), Marlisa Demming(Charlie), Patricia Washington(Herbie). He leaves behind three Grandsons Aaron Jones III,  Armahn Jones, and Jason Spivey Jr. and six Granddaughters Zjadiah Jones-Highbaugh(Dre), Tamauri Jones, Ciarah Jones, Malai Ishmael, Q’Aliyah Jones and Madison Ishmael! He also leaves behind one great grandson Kyrie Highbaugh and one great granddaughter Ka’Mora Jones. He leaves behind some very special aunts and uncles. He also leaves a host of friends, nephews and nieces! Great nieces, Great nephews, Great-Great nieces and nephews, along with a multitude of  godsons and goddaughters.
 The Viewing will be held Wed. Dec. 16, 2020 2-6Pm at Latimer's Funeral Home. The graveside Funeral will be held at Old Mt Calvary # 2 Cemetery Thursday Dec. 17, 2020 2PM.
