Dr. Winston L. Barr
Obituary
Dr. Winston L. Barr, 77, of Conway, passed away on July 31, following health complications.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Barr served students in Andrews, Aynor, Conway, and Myrtle Beach as a beloved mentor, teacher, counselor, and school principal. He was a founding member of the Mu Epsilon Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and he held membership in many other organizations, including the Rotary Club of Conway and Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Barr is preceded in death by his wife, Flossie M. Barr. He is survived by his daughters, Flossie DeWanda Barr and Dr. Wendy (Derrick) Barr Holmes, of Conway.
The family is receiving visitors at the home.
The viewing will be held on Sunday, August 6, at Latimer's Funeral Home from 2-6PM
The funeral will be held on Monday, August 7, at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00pm.
