Ella Ruth Bromell

Mrs. Ella "Elt" Bromell was born to the late Jessie and Alice Pyatt on January 14, 1947, in Conway, S.C.  She peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on August 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Ella was preceded in death by her three sisters: Lillian Tyler, Shirley Holmes and Blanche Pyatt,; five brothers: Jessie Pyatt, Larry Pyatt, Robert Doctor, James "J.D." Spain, and Freeman McNeil; three grandchildren: Frederick James, Clifton, Bromell and Mylaina Glover.

Ella had a deep love for life and enjoyed spending time fishing, crabbing and cooking.  Above all, she adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, one daughter, Vanessa Bromell, three sons: Norman (Phyllis) Bromell, Clifford (Arlyn) Bromell, and Craig Bromell, all of Conway, S.C.; one brother, Charles (Sarah) Pyatt, Norfolk,Va., four sisters-in-law: Lillie Rainey, Marilyn Pyatt, Ruthamae Bromell, and Sylvia Bromell; several beloved grandchildren, eight great-grand-children., special friends; Edith Parker and Willa Mae Parker and a host of other nieces and nephews along with other friends. 

Viewing will be held Thursday from 2-6 P.M. at Latimer's Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Sandridge Community Cemetery.
