Evelyn Louise Bellamy

Life Reflections

Evelyn L Vereen Bellamy, daughter of the late George and Blomie Vereen, was born on May 8, 1954.  She answered her call to gain her wings on December 23, 2023, surround by her family.

Evelyn was a graduate of 1972 class of North Myrtle Beach High School, North Myrtle Beach, SC.  At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at various nursing facilities until she retired. Evelyn loved coupon shopping, giving to the elderly, and telling jokes.

Evelyn was married to James Alston Bellamy and to this union they were blessed with twins, Jonas and Julius.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her father, mother, and one brother, William Ivey Vereen.

Evelyn leaves precious cherished memories to her husband, James Alston Bellamy of Spring Lake, NC; two sons,  Jonas Bellamy of Raeford, NC and Julius Bellamy of Spring Lake, NC; five grandchildren; two sisters, Ernestine Gause and Ruby Patrick both of Longs, SC; one brother, George Vereen, Jr. of Longs, SC; five sisters-in-law, Rev. Dr. Margie Bellamy, Charlotte Bellamy, Lou Bertha Bellamy, Rose Bellamy and Alice Gore  all of Longs, SC; one brother-in-law, Jermiah (Della) Bellamy; two aunts, Ossie B. Randall of Longs, SC and Sophia Vereen of New Jersey; special friends, Tonya Jones, Arnesa Underwood, Bea Bryant and  Bessie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 The Viewing will be held Thursday December 28, 2023 at Latime's Funeral Home 2-6PM.

The Funeral will be held  December 29, 2023 at  Chesterfield MBC 11AM. Burial will follow in The Chesterfield MBC Cemetery.

The family is meeting at 2242 Sunny Heights Little River, SC.
