Mrs. Florrie M. Thomas, daughter of the late Mr. Clinton and Mrs. Blumia Shields Evans, born May 23, 1938. She quietly went into eternal rest on Sunday, April 18,2021 at the home of Rev. Alfred and Easter Bellamy. Flo accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion AME Church. She was educated in the Public Schools of Horry County, moved to New York, worked at Mt. Vernon Hospital and retired after 30 yrs. Florrie relocated to Atlanta, Ga then to SC, moved in with her Mother to care of her until she died. She reunited with Mt. Zion AME Church and served in many capacities. She loved the Lord and served faithfully in several Ministries.
Her Husband Mr. James Thomas, Freddy Tuggel, Ralph Ivey, Parents, Brother Leroy Evans(Sally) William Evans and Carrie Evans preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories; Sisters; Easter M. (Alfred) Bellamy, Little River, Lorraine (Jackie) Jackson, Longs, SC, Teletha Hemingway, Myrtle Beach, SC, Helen E. Scott, Cherry Grove, SC, Gloria J. Evans, Newark, NJ, Mary Linda (Russell)Davis, Sumter, SC, Bathine Evans, Windy Hill, SC , Deborah Denise (Lee) White, Sumter, SC Four Brothers; Henry (Sarah deceased) Evans, Fairmount, NC, Levie (Dorothy) Evans, Mount Vernon, NY, Reeo (Christina)Evans, Garner, NC, Steve (Wilma) Evans, Longs, SC (Popular), One Aunt; Mrs. Roberta Shields Phonsville, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The Funeral will be held Thursday April 22, 2021 4 to 6PM at Latimer's Funeral Home.
