Gloria Jenkins

G loria Lynn Walker, daughter of John Tony Walker Sr. and Bessie Lee Walker was born on Tuesday, June 11TH 1963, in Riverhead, NY. Gloria was the eldest of two siblings which included Synthia Walker and John Tony Walker Jr. Gloria was the mother of three children, Nicole Walker, Bruce Walker and Jakarra Jenkins. Not only was she a loving daughter and a caring mother, but she was also a wonderful grandmother of Ja’Saahn Booker and Jesiah Jenkins. Gloria passed in her sleep at the age of 57 on February 6th 2021 in her home of which she resided with her lifelong love and father of her two oldest children, Bruce Parham.

She was well known for her thoughtfulness and her personality. She had an amazing personality. It did not matter who you were, if she had it, you had it. If you were hungry she would go out of her way to feed you. Gloria loved to cook, she could cook anything and plenty of it. She did not care if you were hungry most of the time, she was going to feed you anyways and catch an attitude if you did not eat.

Gloria will go on to be remembered for her outgoing personality, her thoughtfulness and her character. Regardless of the situation, gloria was one of few who would converse with any and everybody, most of all if you had a child she was surely going out of her way to ensure they were fed. She was always smiling, and laughing and full of energy.

Gloria moved from Long Island New York on 2011 when her oldest daughter became pregnant, she wanted to be close to her first grandchild. She moved to the beach and fell in love with the area. For her occupation, she worked in house keeping where she could see the beach daily.

Gloria will surely not be forgotten, she will not only be remembered for her pretty skin and eyes, but her outgoing personality.

Gloria will be officially placed to rest on Thursday February. 11TH 2021 at Latimer’s Funeral Home, 816 Wright Blvd. Conway, SC 29527 at 11:00 AM.

One final remembrance, when she would make your plate, she would always say;

“It’s a Gee Thang”……………………

The Funeral will be held at Latimer's Funeral Home Thursday February 11,2021 11AM. Limited to 30 people due to COVID.
