Harriet Ford

The Viewing will be held Wed. Aug. 30, 2023 12Pm to 2PM  at Latimer's Funeral Home. 

The afternoon of Thursday August 24, 2023, God sent his Angels to the Accordius Health Nursing Home, in Concord, NC, to take Harriet Yvette Ford to her Heavenly home.

Harriet was born on September 21, 1964, in Trenton, NJ to the late Fred Adam and Sadie Mae Ford.  At an early age, her family moved back to South Carolina where she attended public schools in North Myrtle Beach. She joined St. Paul AME church as a young girl. 

She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1988.  For a period, she worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and in other industries, until her health declined.  She continued to strengthen her faith with other Christian affiliations. She often spoke of her passion for writing and was an avid reader. 

Never marrying or having children of her own, Harriet doted on her nieces and nephews. To cherish her memories, she leaves five siblings Ronald Gore (Khalidah) of Raleigh, NC, Donald Ford of Decatur, GA, Phyllis Williams of Santee, SC, Emma Ford of Little River, SC, and Kim Ford of Raleigh, NC. She also leaves eleven nieces and nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews, a god son Daryl Thomas of Charlotte, NC, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Preceding Harriet in death were her parents and 1 sister Eunice Blake.
