Obituary


Helen Smith Robinson, daughter of the late John Dan Sr. and Joeanna Grant Smith, was born April 12, 1942 and departed this life on July 17, 2020. She Attended Horry County Public Schools and was a graduate of Finklea High School.

Helen accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Cane Branch AME Church. She later moved to Brooklyn New York in 1961 and joined Fenimore Methodist Church.

She was married to the Late Allen G. Robinson. Helen was a graduate of Empire State College where she received an associates degree. She retired from King County hospital after 42 years of professionalism, hardwork and dedication. After retiring, she relocated back home and reunited with her home church, Cane Brach AME.

Helen leaves to cherish her memories to one brother, Jerry Smith Sr. and five sisters; Frances Mishoe (Conway), Lena Mae Gore (Cool Springs), Pauline Stone (New York), Terre Jones (Virginia), and a very devoted sister whom she considered her guardian angel, Shirley Smith, of the home;  a devoted nephew,  Tyrone (Deborah) Smith (Conway) ; a devoted niece, Veronica (Byron) Gilliard (Conway); one Godchild, Wonda Williams and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews,  great- great- nieces and great-great-nephews,  cousins, family and friends.
 

Viewing at Latimers Funeral Home Thursday July 23, 2020 2:00PM to 6:30PM . The Graveside Funeral will be held Friday July 24, 2020 10AM at Cane Branch AME Church Cemetery.
