James Howard Edge was born December 3, 1944. He was the son of the late Danny and Mary Bozier Edge. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marva Stevens; two sisters, Esther Lewis and Carrie Smith; and six brothers: Jack (Mozella), Jasper (Ethel Lee), Ceasar (Adro), Danny (Ella Ruth), Kelly and Harmon/Gilly. James was a native of Wampee, SC. He went to Popular Elementary and Chestnut High School. He later relocated to New Haven, Connecticut and worked as a chef for many years. In June 1990, he married Marva Stevens. He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Leslie/Kitten (Zach) Miller; four granddaughters: Nia, Lanasia, Jada and Blessett; three special nephews: Douglas (Beulah) Edge, Gardner (Pattee) Edge, both of New Haven, CT; and Curvan (Linda) Lewis, Richmond, VA; two sisters-in-law, Bertha Edge, Longs, SC and Dora Edge, New Haven, CT; a very special niece, Angelene Livingston (Cossie) whom he lived with for about 12 years; special friends: Ronnie Dewitt, Brent Vereen, Earnie McCray, Velma Livingston and Lil Miss D’Annia Livingston; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
