Jerry Lindo Smith

Jerry Lindo Smith Sr. of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on October 25, 2025.
Born on April 15, 1937, he was the son of the late Dan Smith Sr. and Joeanna Grant Smith.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Barry Smith and Jerry Smith Jr., and his daughter, Arietta Smith.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Tyrone Smith (Deborah), Carolyn Smith, and Wanda Carter, all of Conway; Larissa Phillips (Sofonias) and Aves Smith (Lisa), both of Columbia, SC.

He is also survived by his devoted sisters: Frances Mishoe and Shirley Smith, both of Conway; Lena Mae Gore of Cool Spring; Pauline Stone of New York; and Terre Jones of Texas. He will be lovingly remembered by his 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

The family will hold visitation at 703 Melson Street, Conway, starting Monday from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Viewing will be held Wed. Oct. 29,2025 at Latimer's Funeral Home 2-6PM
Funeral services will be held at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, 813 Wright Blvd, Conway, SC 29527, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM
