Lena(Leeann) Anthonette (Vaught) Barker

Mrs. Lena (LEEANN) Anthonette Vaught Barker departed her life at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, December 2nd 2020 at 8:20pm. She will be highly missed by all her family and friends. She was born on March 21st 1959, the daughter of the late Rev. Walter Barnabus Vaught and the late Beattice Elizabeth Sarah Livingston Vaught. 



She attended North Myrtle Beach High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. She was employed at Beach Cove until her health declined. She loved watching basketball, and her favorite animal was tigers. 



Lena (LEEANN) was preceded in death by her husband James Mannie Barker, Three brothers, Rev. William Lee Vaught, Dec. James Olden Chestnut,  Rev. Walker Barnabus Vaught  and two sisters, Mabel Justine Hemingway and Mary Lonette Hickman.



She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Kunteza Vaught, MaKenize (Rowena) Barker, and Roshelle Barker all of Popla SC, five grandchildren, Che’Keydah and Ta’Keyah Belin, Kennedi Chestnut, Amarah and MaKenize(MJ) Barker,  Three brothers, Caleb Vaught of Charleston SC, Ray Chestnut of Popla SC, Roy Chestnut of Myrtle Beach SC, three sisters Elizabeth Hemingway of Jersey City NJ, Sherrie Delong of Popla SC, Wendy(Dwayne) Todd of Brooksville SC, six sister-in- laws Gloria and Cathy Barker of Barnwell SC, Delores (Tony) Womble of Charlotte NC, Doris Vaught of Fairmont NC, Leefola Chestnut and Dale Vaught of Popla SC, she also had two special friends Velma Livingston and Jolene Stanley of Popla SC, A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 

The Graveside Memorial will be Wed.December 9, 2020 2pm.
