Mr. Milton A. (Harriott) Harriotte was born the son of the late Sheadrick Harriott and Thelma Golden Chu Sarvis Harriott. He was born June 20, 1948, in Conway, South Carolina. Milton attended the public schools in Horry County. He graduated from Whittemore "Bulldogs" High school, Class of 1966. He entered the U.S. Army in 1967. During his tour in the army, he participated on the football team. He received an Honorable Discharge 1971 after a 13- month tour in Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, he moved his family to New York, where he worked for the United States Postal Service and as a Security officer at the Department of Social Service, he was a diligent worker. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Milton was a quiet, easy going and straight to the point type of man. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He married his high school sweetheart Josephine Shepard, and to this union a beautiful baby girl was born that they cherished. Milton was proceeded in death by six brothers; Frank Owens, Isaac Harriatte, Willie Sarvis, Cheadrick Harriatte Jr, Cornelius Sarvis and James Sarvis, two sisters Ruthie McCoy and Mary Miller; one great-grandson Tu'Cari J. Harriotte. He leaves to cherish his memory; his former wife Josephine Harriotte of Conway, SC, One daughter Vonetta (Corey) Harriotte- Brantley of Conway, SC, two grandsons PFC Quavone (Amber) Harriotte of Ft. Stewart, GA and Tyriq (Alexia) Harriotte, two great-grandsons Ny'Mik Harriotte of Conway/Loris, SC and Giannis Harriotte of Ft. Stewart, GA., five sister in laws; Gwendolyn Sarvis of Conway, SC, Mary Sarvis of Columbia, SC, Nina Harriatte of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Joann Bennett and Bertha Pittman, both of Brooklyn, NY, two brother in laws; Michael Bennett of Brooklyn, NY and David Shepard of Conway, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
