On February 11, 2023, Missie Lee Ladson got her angelic wings. She is now walking with the Angels and singing in God’s Choir. She was 97 years old. She was born to Sam McFall and Mary Ella Brown on December 18, 1925 in Bucksport, South Carolina.
She graduated from Whittemore High School, Conway, South Carolina with Honors. She later moved to Conway where she married Lewis Ladson. They were Bless with four children. She is preceded in death by her husband, sons Edward and Richard Ladson. Left to cherish her memories is her daughter Debbie Hill and son Vernon Ladson.
She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church Senior Choir and participated in many other roles and church activities. She was a member of the Silver Star Chapter Number 172 of Eastern Star and the Mystic Order of Golden Eagles. She loved her neighborhood and often gave food and money to those in need. She retired after 50 years of service to Conway Hospital as a cook.
In addition; she was Bless with seven grandchildren, fourteen great grand children and a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives. She will surely be miss.
The Viewing will be held Thursday Feb. 16,2023 at Latimer's Funeral Home from 2-6PM
The Funeral will be held Friday Feb. 17,2023 at Greater St. James AME Church in Conway SC 12PM.
