Richard Bellamy, Jr.

July 29, 1949 ~ September 12, 2020 

Richard Bellamy, Jr. of Conway, S.C. aged 71, passed on Saturday, September 12, 2020 following an illness. Richard was the son of the late Mr. Richard P. Bellamy and Mrs. Rebecca Bellamy of the Homewood/St. Paul Community.  He was the husband of Mrs. Sharon Morgan Bellamy. Richard was a 1968 graduate of Whittemore High School. He attended Savannah State College where he was a member of the football team.  He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was formerly employed by The AVX Corp. of Myrtle Beach. He was a member of St. Paul MB Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a faithful and devoted wife, Sharon Bellamy; mother - Mrs. Rebecca Bellamy; son - Paul (Sue) Bellamy; daughter - Kesha Alderman of Savannah, Ga; granddaughter - Sa'Maya; sister - Rita (Mark) Holloway of Columbia, SC; brother - Perry Bellamy; nephew – SrA. Marcus Holloway of US Air Force, Germany; and a host of family and friends.

Due to the Pandemic, the family will only receive friends at Latimer’s Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 from 2-3PM. Public viewing will continue after the family departs from 3-7PM. The graveside Funeral will be Friday, Sept, 18, 2020, 11AM at St. Paul MBC Cemetery in the Homewood section of Horry County.
