Sarah Faulk Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Lee Williams was born to the late Roy and Edith Brantley Williams in Conway, SC. She attended Felton Rosenwald School located in the Sandridge section of Horry County. She graduated from the Adult Education Center where she earned her High School Diploma. She was converted at an early age and joined Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church. Affectionally, known as Monk, Muah Lu-lee, Sarah Lee, as well as Mother she was faithful and untiring in the following auxiliaries serving in: Sunday School, and the Senior Choir . She was also a member of the Senior Missionary Society, Minister’s Wives, and Deaconess of the Church and the Kingston Lake M. B. Association. She was also a member of The Son and Daughter of Zion, The Prayer Band, and The Royal Courts of King Solomon. Living out the mantra, “If I can help somebody as I pass along., then my living will not be in vain.” In this spirt Sarah Lee Williams Faulk was a God-fearing woman full of love with a passion of caring for the sick, feeding the hungry and taking the stranger in. She served her community receiving various distinct recognitions and awards for her servanthood towards mankind to name a few: Leadership Recognition -Program Committee Chair- Sandridge Community Improvement Council ; Honored by Democratic Party -Charter Member JR. 12 Pack (Jamestown Racepath One and Two Precinct Political Action Community); Hometown Hero Honoree HTC. She was a member of the NAACP, Horry County Democratic Party, The Sandridge Community Recreation Center. Sarah Lee Williams Faulk worked for the family of Ben & Neatra Thompson, , Richardson of Conway, SC. She later became employed and retired from AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Sarah Lee Williams Faulk was married to her husband, the late Rev. Acie Faulk, Jr. for 54 years. This union was blessed with six children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Acie Faulk, Jr., Deacon Acie Earl Faulk (son), her parents, five siblings (Roy Williams, Jr. ; Geneva James; James L. Williams; Julia Johnson and Sylvia Jo Hemingway), in-laws, aunts and uncles respectfully. She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Reverend Patsy (Reverend James) Brown-Florence, SC, Reverend Jerry (Genar) Faulk-Conway, SC, Phyllis Smith-Charleston, SC, Sandra Faulk Washington, DC, Sharon (Bishop Melvin) Spain-Conway, SC and Jeanette Faulk - Conway, SC wife of her oldest son the late Deacon Acie Earl Faulk. Mother reared one grandchild, Phaedra Faulk and one great grandchild, Acie J.R. Faulk in the home.; additionally Barbara Merritt (niece), LaRoy Williams (nephew). Craig Spain (grandson), Kareem Spain (grandson) and Quentral Hemingway (nephew) were blessed with early years of her motherly nurture. Honoring her legacy she leaves 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. A beloved sister Elouise Williams of Newark, New Jersey, two sisters-in-law Faye Smith-Augusta, GA; Eloise WilliamsConway, SC; a brother-in-law Gerard Donovan-Sumter, SC, an aunt Geneva Bessant of Conway, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will miss her sweet spirit. We thank God for her life, love and legacy as a pillar of faith among her family, church, as well as community.

.** Interment immediately following services at the Sandridge Community Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed.
