Thomas Terrill Butler was born on May 14, 1976 to the late Mrs. Marcella P. Butler Floyd. He grew up in Bucksport, SC and received his education in Horry County Public Schools. Thomas attended Salem AME Church until he graduated from Conway High School in 1994 and enlisted in the United States Army.
Thomas served in the United States Army for over 20 years. Upon retirement, he attended Drury University in Missouri, where he received his Master’s Degree in Psychology. He was a professional counselor with Compass Health in Missouri.
Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, a great dad, Roy Melvin Floyd, Sr., three children, Indya Nicole Butler, Destiny Marie Butler and Thomas Terrill Butler, Jr. all of Austin, TX, three brothers, Sergeant Major (Retired) KaJuan L. Butler of Alexandria, VA, First Sergeant (Retired) Thaddeus T.(Veena) Butler of San Antonio, TX, and Roy Floyd, Jr. of Maryland; two nieces, Aysha of San Antonio, TX and Kayla of Clayton, NC; two aunts, Peggy Benton of Conway, SC, and Melissa (Sam) Peterson of Summerville, SC; one uncle, Reginald (Carol) Butler of Conway, SC and a host of cousins who are all like brothers and sisters and many good friends and co-workers.
