Obituary To God, Abba Father be all the glory! Thonda LaShon Ollis-Bellamy was born December 29th, 1969 to the union of Maxine Izetta Moore Ollis Sconiers (d. 2006) and John W. Ollis, (d. 1973), and raised by her father James H. Sconiers (d. 2018). She was both a sister, mentor and friend to Jacquelle E. Sconiers (Miami Gardens, FL) and Ann Page Sconiers (Albany, NY). Matriculating through the Miami Dade County Public School System, she graduated in the Class of 1987 from Miami Carol City Senior High School, and went on to further her education as well as earned many advanced degrees and certifications at Florida A&M University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University and Florida Atlantic University. Following the legacy of her mothee, Thonda was initiated in February 1993 to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter. Married on June 29, 1990, Thonda proudly became the devoted wife to Robert Bellamy III. and to this covenant union, were born her greatest earthly blessings and most astounding achievements, her three wonderful children, Dr. Khristlyn B. Bellamy (1995), Kaleb B. Bellamy (1999) and Joshualyn B. Bellamy (2005). Employed with Miami Dade County Public Schools for 30 years until her retirement in 2019, she counted it a blessing to work in the ministry that is Alternative Education with youth who may have endured some misguidance. However, she felt emboldened to fill them with encouragement, self-worth, and measures of success. Thonda excelled as a teacher to many, as well as was a caring friend. Yet, one thing she gloried in besides all of those above is that she was a daughter of the Most High and Almighty God through the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Thonda began her insatiable journey with God’s word as a member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ in her youth under the pastoral leadership of her grandfather, Rev. King James Sconiers, Elder J A Hosely and Elder Charles Johnson. She continued her growth and development in the Word and God’s Kingdom with her family as a faithful member of Cornerstone Christian Center under the leadership of Pastors Henry D. and Theresa Daniels. Thonda has departed this physical realm for the healing that is God’s presence, leaving behind to briefly mourn, but celebrate with joy in the morning, her husband, children, sisters and a host of coworkers, family, friends and loved ones.
