At the dawn of June 6, 2025, God gently added another flower to His heavenly bouquet. Like a blossoming bud, He lovingly chose our dear mother, Sister Vinna M. Glenn, to join His beautiful arrangement of souls.
Sister Vinna M. Glenn was born on October 8, 1937, to the late Roscoe Gore and Elma Gore Bellamy. She received her education at Chestnut Consolidated High School. At an early age, she united with the St. Paul A.M.E. Church family, where she remained a devoted and faithful member until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Her commitment to service extended beyond the church as she also became a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was the beloved wife of the late Reverend Calvin B. Glenn.
Mother Vinna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister—Crista Bell Gore, six brothers—Deacon Wilbert Gore, Morris Gore, Garland Gore, Horace Gore, Clifford Gore, and Alston Gore, and one granddaughter—Donnica Vaught.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children: Margaret Vaught, Cassandra A. Glenn, and Calvin B. Glenn Jr.; five grandchildren: LaQuann Workman, Lasheena Vaught-Tyler, Accacia Glenn, Torrant Glenn, and Valkyrie Glenn; three great-grandchildren; two devoted sisters: Carrie Dell Gore and Sophie Pearson; one daughter-in-law: Honor Glenn; one sister-in-law: Jessie Mae Gore; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Her warmth, faith, and enduring love will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
