Mr. Jenkins was the son of Mr. Abraham and the Late Innette Johnson Jenkins. Wade was a beloved Son, Father,Grandfather,Brother,, uncle and friend who quietly slipped into eternal rest on Friday, May 8, 2020 in Kentucky.
He received his education in Dade County and Horry County Public Schools and graduated from Green Sea-Floyds High School in 1976. After graduation he became employed with Grand Strand Water and Sewer. In 1977 he joined the Army National Guard of South Carolina. Wade later pursued his passion of driving long-distance trucks and over the years he has driven for several trucking companies. At his time of death, he was employed by Abilene Motor Express for nine+ years.
Wade leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted father, Abraham Jenkins, Jr., of the home, a loving son, Wade Patrick Jenkins, Jr., (Alberta Johnson, Mother) of Conway, S.C., his world for the past nine years, his grandson, Elijah Patrick Jenkins who he affectionately called "Mo-Mo" of Conway, S.C., two brothers: Charles Edward Jenkins (Joyce Jenkins) of Harrisburg, Pa., and Darryl Jenkins (Alida Jenkins) of Rochester, NH.; one sister, Judy Moore of Myrtle Beach, S.C., five nieces, four nephews, five great-nieces, six great-nephews, one sister and one niece preceded him in death. A special friend, Janie C. Harrison of Walterboro, S.C., and a host of aunts and uncles, other family and friends.
Viewing drop in hours will be at Latimers Funeral Home Friday May 15, 2020 from 2Pm to 7PM.
a graveside service will be held 1PM Saturday May 16, 2020 at silver Star Cemetery in Bayboro with COVID 19 guidelines. 50 Person Limit. Wil have to remain 6 ft apart by Government mandate.
