William Andrew Culp, “Andy” of Charlotte, NC passed away unexpectedly on March 20th, 2023 just shy of his 50th birthday at his home in Garden City, SC. Andy is survived by his 2 beautiful daughters; Cameron Culp [24] and Kayla Culp [15], as well as both his parents; mother Pat Williamson and father, William “Bill” Culp. He was predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Andy was born May 3rd of 1973 at Presbyterian Hospital and spent his early years in the town of Pineville attending South Mecklenburg high school in the graduating class of 91’. He went on to attend college for a short time at East Carolina University but after leaving college, he and his father got to work establishing a successful career in the residential plumbing business here in the Carolina’s.
Anyone who knew Andy, knew his love for the water. He grew up taking many trips over the years down to the Florida Keys where he found his passion for fishing. He would catch anything; mackerel, grouper, wahoo, mahi-mahi, the list goes on. Although the water was his first love he did admire his many trips out west to ski and snowboard. With his strong-will, hard-work and industrious nature there wasn’t much Andy couldn’t do if he set his mind to it.
While Andy left us far too soon, he lived his life to the fullest and always led with a big heart. He will truly be missed by all who loved him and had the opportunity of knowing him.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday April 4th at 3pm in the chapel of Calvary Church; 5801 Pineville-Matthews Rd. Charlotte, NC 28226
