With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Willie “Bill” Dowls Jr., who departed this earth on March 21, 2026. The late Willie Dials Sr. and Mamie Lee Samuels Dials welcomed Mr. Dowls into the world on July 2, 1950, in Lamar, South Carolina.
Willie, also known as "Bill" or "Old School", had a personality bigger than life itself and will be fondly remembered as the life of the party and an individual who befriended everyone who he crossed paths with.
He was preceded in death by his sons: Brian Steele and Derek Steele. His three sisters: Alma Graham Moses, Chessie Graham Ingram & Lula Mae Dials Vance, and brother Carol Dials.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Cheyenne Dowls, Paige Morton, Netta Goode, Anthony (Pamela) Goode, and Casey Morton.
His sisters: Barbara Ann (Raymond) Duncan, Georganna Orange & Linda (Marshall) Stenson and one sister-in-law Ann McCoy Dials. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His presence will be deeply missed along with his humor, smile, and warmth, but he will forever be loved and cherished by those who were lucky enough to know him. While his time on earth has come to an end, his impact will remain for years and decades to come.
"Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives."
