Mr. Carson's public viewing will be at Latimer's Funeral Home Monday Dec. 28, 2020 2-6PM , The Funeral will be held at Rosehill Cemetery Tuesday Dec. 29,2020 at 2PM.

We mourn the loss of Wilmot David Carson of Jacksonville, Florida age 48 who transitioned from earth to glory on December 14, 2020.

 

Wilmot David Carson was born August 29, 1972 in Charleston, S.C., the son of James Etta (Myers) Carson and Elbard Mouzon (preceded in death August 1991). Wilmot graduated from Conway High School and went on to receive his Master Barber License, working in Charleston, S.C.  and Jacksonville, FL.  Wilmot’s final accomplishment was completing his CDL Training and becoming a Trucker, transporting goods and providing services for many companies across country.

Wilmot converted to Muslim faith later in life and remained faithful to its practices and beliefs.

Wilmot passed away doing what he loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

Wilmot is preceded in death by his mother James Etta (Myers) Carson, father Elbard Mouzon & Eddie James Carson.

He is survived by his brothers:  Stewart (Linda) Carson - Jacksonville, FL, Marcus Carson of California, Ernie Taylor - Goose Creek, SC, Arnold Taylor - St Stephens, SC, Fredrick Mouzon - St Stephens, SC, Jonathan (Rose) Mouzon - Monck Corner, SC; Sisters: Marvetta Mouzon - Jamestown, SC, Gladys (Joe) Washington - Pineville, SC, Marilyn Mouzon- Newark, NJ, Andreika Mouzon - Salters, SC along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews
